Fortress Blue was the National Win Champion in 1999 with 58 wins. He is ranked 14th all time with 112 career wins. Fortress*, of course, needs no introduction. Her Chevy Escort was an outstanding brood who produced grade As by five different sires. Her damline has been extremely productive in recent years with pups like Fortress Blue and Fortress Son, Senior Norma, Bow Honeycut, Bow Hulahan, Bow Mask, Bow Angela, KGB Gina Girl, KGB Rising Star, I Am Brindle and I Am Black, Bow Kismet, Bow Dreamer, Sure Do Shine, and many others.
Blue throws big-boned, hard-trying, easy-handling pups. He is one of the few Fortress sons who is throwing early speed. He deserves a second look by breeders desiring a Fortress* son without Commander and/or LearJet bloodlines. He provides an excellent cross to daughters of Molotov, Cobblepot and other Commander sons, Flying Penske, Greys Statesman, Flying Train, P's Raising Cain and Great Son females. The ideal female will descend from lines that throw late 5/16ths or 3/8ths speed. He should not be bred to females who were short for 5/16ths.
Fortress Blue ran his career at JCKC despite the fact that he was obviously significantly too fast for the competition there, and has proven that he can throw major track dogs in very limited breedings to adequate females.
